Iran 'Bystander' wins award in Russia

Iran animated film 'Bystander' has bagged Best Animation award at the 2018 Light of the World Film Festival in Russia.

Directed by Sheida Kashi, the animated flick competed at the competition section of the festival which was specified to films with the audiences of 18 to 35.

The flick narrates the story of an old man who just passively witnesses a revolution taking place in his country.

The festival is among the biggest for the young cineastes in Russia. Around 2500 filmmakers have attended it during the seven years of running.

This year's edition of the festival was held May 23-27, 2018.
